The Role
This role will work closely with the US Compliance Manager and US General Counsel to provide support the business’ compliance, governance and legal functions to achieve its strategic and commercial goals in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities will include:

Assist in the preparation of filings and responses to data calls in support of surplus lines licenses.

Conduct research of regulatory changes and assess their impact on the business.

Assist in the preparation of responses to consumer complaints.

Assist in preparing reports and communicating results related to audits of external underwriters.

Update internal documents as required (e.g. policies, procedures, contact lists, logs) and files and archives relevant information received from internal and external stakeholders.

Provide ad hoc support for day-to-day compliance and governance tasks.

Manage various short and long term projects as assigned by Compliance and Legal Managers.
Skills and experience:

A small amount of insurance experience is preferred but not essential

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

IT literacy includes advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other Microsoft Office applications.
