SUMMARY
This position is an exempt-status leadership position that supports a schedule that works a split-shift 40-hour schedule. (Friday & Saturday DAYS from 6am-4:30pm and Sunday & Monday NIGHTS from 6pm-4:30am)
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and supervision of all inbound and outbound shipments and tracking. The Operations Supervisor communicates shift activity and important information to all employees as well as management in staff meetings. The Operations supervisor is also responsible for managing material handlers, team members, and conduct team building, and process training. Additionally, the Operations Supervisor is accountable for safety and good housekeeping within HJI and client guidelines. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintaining and adhering to the day to day shipments in and out of the facility.

Supervise warehousing operations in accordance with company and safety policies and procedures.

Training, coaching, conducting production reviews (time study), and administering disciplinary action when needed.

Incoming and outgoing shipments and product to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments. This includes preparation and required data input for all daily inbound/outbound loads.
- Coordinate with the Inventory team for all incoming material ensuring that loads are shipped in the correct order and orientation.

Contacting dedicated route drivers when driver schedules are not being kept according to dedicated schedule.

Conduct pre-shift meetings. Communicate company and customer expectations to all employees.

Ensure safe operation of all warehouse equipment and enforce all company and safety rules and practices.

Ensure a safe and healthy workplace and address compliance issues.

Complete necessary shift paperwork.

Ensure compliance to all standard operating procedures and job safety analysis.

Under the guidance of the Management Team, review and develop an understanding of the ISO 9001 certification processes. With the direction of management, ensures the requirements are met and supported by quality assurance procedures, work instructions and quality records.

Communicate important and pertinent information to all Shift Operation Supervisors and Managers.

Use 5S Auditing process

Make payroll adjustments and approve time cards for employees.

Conduct Daily Audits on employees and location of product to ensure accuracy and accountability.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
-
Associate degree preferred, or 2 or more years of experience in logistics and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Previous MHE experience preferred; but not required.

Previous Warehouse picking, packing, receiving, inventory control experience preferred; but not required.

Previous RF scanner experience preferred

Previous material handling/fork truck experience preferred; but not required

Able to work in fast paced environment
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and
procedure manuals. Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to write routine
reports and correspondence and to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to communicate to all employees at all levels effectively.
COMPUTER RELATED SKILLS
Excellent computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft applications, Outlook, correspondence and a high level of comfort with Technology including managing and troubleshooting WMS systems.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situation where only limited standardization exists. Identifying those standardization gaps while developing strategic processes for measured success. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
