Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Designs and develops programs, policies, and practices to ensure that the organization complies with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements which may include obtaining and renewing licenses and permits
- Manages the monitoring of business activities for compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
- Tracks relevant laws and regulations, updates operating manuals and procedural documents, and trains staff when regulations change
- Prepares compliance status reports and filings for regulatory agencies as required
- Perform internal audits
- Oversees Process Safety Management systems to ensure compliance
- Works with Warehouse Facilitators/Supervisors and management to confirm practices are implemented, teams are trained and are compliant.
- Recommend improvements in processes, procedures to comply with regulations
- DOT Specific: Maintain all vehicle licensing and registrations and maintain CDL driver files for compliance
- Knowledge and ability to operate in compliance with the following organizations:
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
- USDA
- SQF Certification
- Food Safety programs
- Department of Transportation (DOT)
- Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA)
- National Motor Freight Traffic Association (NMFTA)
- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
