Driver - Job description
A Florida, statewide healthcare transportation company is looking for a Driver to transport patients in a comfortable, safe and timely manner, preferably a driver with first responders experience . Ultimately, you will help us increase patient satisfaction, making sure patients depend on us for their transportation needs. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record ability to pass a level 2 background check and meet all the listed requirements.
Responsibilities
● Must be able to communicate well with management, staff, and patients
● Prompt pick up of clients from the correct location and at the time scheduled
● Coordinate with management on transport schedules and any changes to the trip.
● Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions
● Ensure the car interior and exterior of the vehicles are clean and comfortable for all riders
● Positive attitude and clear understanding of boundaries
● 1+ years Experience preferred
● Strong work ethic, disciplined and reliable
● Able to fully complete intake paperwork, complete client log book entries
● Follow company policy and procedures, understand and follow all State and Federal
HIPPA laws pertaining to confidentiality
● Available shifts include day/weekdays/weekends/nights

Requirements
- Standard High school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved GED testing program (Preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with behaviorally complex youth and or adults (Preferred)
- Must meet the physical stamina and ability to work with behaviorally complex youth and or adults
- Must meet the physical requirements of the job, to be able to physically restrain if needed a behaviorally complex youth without injury to self or youth using approved restraint procedures as demonstrated in the PCM training and other non physical crisis intervention procedures (Preferred)
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- EMT experience or EMT Certification (Preferred)
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent Verbal and written communication
● Must have a Clean and Valid driver’s license● High school Diploma or GED● Experience in Healthcare, medical, ambulatory and law enforcement.● Familiarity with GPS● Proven experience as a Driver● Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods● Above average physical capabilities - occasional physical activity required● Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts● Background check and random drug screening (with notice)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Expected hours: 8 – 50 per week
