Responsibilities
The Auto Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing vehicles that come into the shop. As an Auto Mechanic you are expected to troubleshoot issues and fix them in a timely manner.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Vehicle Inspection- Perform routine inspections on vehicles to make sure they are running properly
- Maintenance- Conduct routine maintenance work aiming to maximize reliability, functionality, and vehicle longevity
- Safety- Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, and chemicals
- Administrative Tracking- You complete all the required tracking in timely manner
- Upholding the Purpose Document of Tapani Inc. - Your actions and behaviors support Strong Teams and Successful Projects
Skills and Qualifications
As an Auto Mechanic, you establish and continue to grow the following skills and qualifications:
- Knowledge of the work- Having a solid understanding of all work being performed
- Problem Solving Skills- Identify the issue and how to resolve it
- Communication Skills- You understand when and how to communicate with the Shop Foreman and your coworkers
- Knowledge of tools- You have an understanding of tools and how to use them to perform the required tasks
- Ability to work overtime, occasional evenings, and weekends
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $24.11 - $36.17 per hour (negotiable based on qualifications and experience)

For this position, an individual must be physically able to perform assigned tasks, and be able to push and pull 30 lbs, carry 50 lbs, and lift 60 lbs. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
