Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, Chief Engineer

PURPOSE:
-
To provide our members and guests with a safe and enjoyable vacation experience where all receive the highest levels of service possible;?

To achieve desired sales revenue goals and profitability results for investors;

To maintain and ensure proper operation of all water features on the resort property, including, but not limited to pools, fountains, water features, and spa equipment.

- Maintain all resort pools and water features to ensure proper operation. Training of other maintenance personnel may be required.

Consult and advise the Maintenance Supervisor, Manager, or Chief Engineer on the weekly maintenance activities related to the operations of water features.

Monitor all chemical supplies and parts ordered for maintenance activities related to the operation of water features.
-
Participate in training programs including OSHA, Safety, Educational and Employee Enhancement programs to assure continual upgrading of skillset.

Attend and participate in departmental and resort meetings and training courses as instructed.
-
Perform exceptional communication skills throughout all functions of the job, i.e.; guests, department managers and fellow employees.
-
Perform any and all duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager, and Chief of Engineer.

Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum of twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Training must be documented.
QUALIFICATIONS:

1-year previous experience preferred

Proficient knowledge in pump room operations and water chemistry
-
Knowledge of repair and electrical operation including diagnostics
-
Experience with chemical automation
-
Must have a valid state driver’s license.
-
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
-
Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
-
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
-
Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
-
Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.

Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.

Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions.

Ability to perform the physical labor necessary.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money or local equivalent and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMAND:
Most work tasks are performed outdoors. Position requires walking, standing, bending, crouching, and kneeling, all of which are done throughout the shift; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.

Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different outlets and other departments of the Resort on a timely basis.

Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.

Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.

Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally.

Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.

Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests and other resort staff.

Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.

Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
