Job Overview:
The Research & Evaluation Coordinator I will be part of the Research and Evaluation Service Line and will assist with the management of the service line and various research-oriented projects. This position will coordinate complex tasks and assignments under the direction of the contract Project Directors. This role involves data collection, analysis, and providing insights and recommendations to complete project deliverables. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in research, evaluation, data collection, analysis, and interpretation, and project management. The position entails other project-related support as needed by the contracts. This position will ensure effective communication within and across project teams, provides strategic evaluation and planning for the team, and contributes to the development of work products and deliverables. This position may require nationwide travel.
Essential Job Functions

Design and Implementation of Research Projects:

Support implementation of research studies, including participant recruitment, data collection, and management.

Ensure compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements (IRB, Tribal IRB, and OMB).

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Assist in quantitative research including but not limited to survey design and dissemination, data analysis, synthesis, and reporting.

Assist in qualitative research including conducting interviews/focus groups, extracting data collected and grouping data by themes.

Analyze collected data using statistical software and interpret results.

Assist in preparing comprehensive reports and presentations that clearly communicate research findings and implications.

Program Evaluation:

Assist with implementation of evaluation frameworks to meet deliverable requirements.

Monitor and evaluate ongoing programs to suggest continuous improvements.

Provide support in the development of evaluation tools and techniques.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define research objectives and deliverables.

Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.

Facilitate workshops and meetings to engage stakeholders in the research process.

Contract Support
-
Support project directors with assigned project objectives and duties.

Support project activities under the direction and guidance of the project director or task lead.

Maintain on-going effective communication (verbally and in writing) with project directors, team members, and contracting agencies on project logistics.
Specific Job Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)

Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing to a variety of audiences

Detail oriented and strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent analytical and writing skills that include an attention to detail as well as a grasp of large conceptual frameworks

Knowledge of database management and statistical analysis (preferred)

Ability to work and contribute to a team environment

Ability to prioritize, problem solve and meet deadlines

Ability to interact in a professional manner with clients, staff, subcontractors, and community members.

Understanding of American Indian/Alaska Native history, culture, and current socioeconomic conditions (strongly preferred)

Cultural awareness and sensitivity
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree (required), master’s degree (preferred)

Minimum 1-2 years of related experience

Experience in supporting multiple research and evaluation projects

Experience working with American Indian/Alaska Native populations (strongly preferred)

Willingness to travel within the United States
Job Conditions
The position may require some travel, and may include evening meetings, extended hours, and interruptions from time-to-time. Close computer work for extended periods of time will be required.
