Job Overview:
The Inventory Parts Specialist is responsible for managing the company's inventory of parts and supplies. This role involves tracking inventory levels, ordering new parts, receiving and organizing incoming stock, and ensuring the accuracy of inventory records. The specialist will work closely with the procurement, warehouse, service, and operations teams to support the company's operational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excesses.
- Order parts and supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments of parts and supplies.
- Organize and store parts and supplies in an orderly and accessible manner.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Coordinate with suppliers to resolve issues related to orders, deliveries, and returns.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to improve inventory management processes.
Skills:
- Proficiency in AS400 or other order management systems
- Knowledge of inventory control principles and practices
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Experience in sourcing OEM parts from multiple suppliers
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move parts and supplies as needed.
