Job Description:
As a Solar Installer at Kasselman Solar, you will be part of a dynamic team that installs, maintains, and services solar PV systems. You will work on both residential and commercial projects, ensuring that installations are completed efficiently and to the highest standard. This role requires a blend of technical skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of Solar Panels and Systems: Safely install solar panels on rooftops, including setting up ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment.
- Electrical Wiring: Perform electrical wiring of solar systems (AC and DC) in accordance with electrical diagrams and standards.
- System Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Conduct routine maintenance checks and troubleshoot any issues to ensure optimal performance of solar systems.
- Site Assessment and Preparation: Evaluate installation sites to determine the best positioning of solar panels and equipment. Prepare the site for installation, including cleaning and clearing debris.
Compliance and Safety Standards:
- Adhere to all company policies and standard operating procedures, including safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
- Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service, including answering queries and ensuring customer satisfaction post-installation.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with the team, including project managers and engineers, to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
- Training and Development: Participate in training sessions to stay updated with the latest solar technologies and installation techniques.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Basic understanding of electrical wiring and hand tools.
Ability to work in various outdoor environments and on rooftops.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Previous experience in solar installation, construction, electrical, or related field a plus.
