Community Development Manager
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Vice President of Operations and Communications, the Community Development Manager is responsible for conducting community outreach and securing financial support for the non-profit organization. This will include identifying, cultivating, and soliciting community partners for Age Well Senior Services and meeting all monthly goals. This position will be Monday through Friday at $20/hour and an expected 30 hours per week.
- Secure and maintain sustainable relationships and partnerships with organizations in the local community on behalf of Age Well Senior Services.
- Conduct community outreach through personalized interactions, presentations, and attendance at public events. Identify and cultivate community partners and related deliverables.
- Support VP of Operations and Communications with marketing and outreach initiatives. Participate in planning meetings as required to build knowledge and maintain monthly goals.
- Distribute marketing collateral to prospective community partners and provide information on Age Well's services.
- Assist with development and distribution of sponsorship collateral including signage and printed materials in collaboration with VP Operations and Communications.
- Maintain accurate records on development and community outreach activities and provide regular reports. Maintain records of sponsorship, including files, spreadsheets and resource materials pertinent to establishing a record of fiscal partnerships and renewals of partnerships.
- Assist marketing and communications in carrying out fundraising campaigns, including mailings and other events/drives with VP Operations and Communications.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Experience in community outreach or marketing (2-3 years).
- Experience fundraising for a reputable nonprofit organization beneficial.
- High level of discretion in dealing with financial or confidential information.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/Documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management skills, able to work independently or as a team.
- Bachelor’s or College Degree preferred in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management or a related field.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and reach. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and move up and or push 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
