Position Type: Full-time, non-exempt, 37.5/hour workweek.
What to Expect: TCV is currently seeking a dedicated and responsible person to fill our Therapist/Clinician role in Homestead for our Diversion & Acute Stabilization (DAS) program.
The DAS Therapist plays a critical role in fulfilling the mission of TCV by providing compassionate support, therapy, and other clinical services to individuals using evidenced based approaches In this position, you will be a member of a multidisciplinary team working with other therapists, nurses, service coordinators, support staff, administrators, and psychiatrists. We are looking for people who believe in a strengths-based approach, and use positive practices to help guide their everyday activities. The DAS Therapist position is designed to:
- Conduct initial assessments and treatment planning upon admission of all DAS admissions meeting all standards.
- Obtain all required consents, releases to ensure coordination with SC, CTT, PCP and all physicians involved in the consumers care.
- Maintain caseload assigned by director, in accordance with State and County regulations.
- Complete all documentation according to best clinical practice guidelines and within TCV policies and procedures.
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for DAS/ Acute Partial Hospital consumers per program needs. Prepare for sessions with appropriate research and utilization of group materials to address needs of consumers. Documents all notes at completion of session, reflecting treatment goals; obtain consumer signature, as appropriate.
- May be requested to assist with medication monitoring including counts and observation of consumer intake of prescribed medication.
- Perform all necessary functions in Qualifacts in order to reflect timely, accurate consumer and staff data.
- Serve as a team leader for direct care staff to help them support the recovery goals of the consumers.
- Complete referrals for Service Coordination, and other resources as needed.
- Work with support staff to ensure appropriate initial authorizations for payment is requested/obtained as well as continued stay reviews as needed within 24 hours. Submit appropriate documentation of authorizations to clerical staff upon receipt of same.
- Complete documentation daily for State, County and managed care audits. This includes appropriate correction of any errors and completion of paperwork.
- Read and document in the daily log and verbal change of shift reports.

*Prospective employees hired for a full-time sign on bonus eligible position will receive the first third of the total bonus after the successful completion of three (3) months of employment. The second third will be awarded after the successful completion of six (6) months of employment, and the final third will be awarded after achieving a “satisfactory” rating or higher on the annual performance evaluation.
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology (Licensed Eligible).
- Two (2) years of related experience with knowledge of individual and group techniques and MISA treatment.
- LSW license preferred.
- Act 33/34, Child Abuse, and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances required.
