Job Title: Supply Chain Quality Control (QC) Tech

As a Supply Chain Quality Control Tech you'll play a crucial role in assisting Wyman’s achieve the highest Quality and Food Safety standards throughout our Maine Supply Chain network. Your duties will include assisting with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Compliance, conducting quality tests on products, and ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The QC Lead will play an integral part of Wyman’s Quality Assurance Team by owning the Warehouse HOLD program, maintaining HOLD inventories, inspecting product inbounds. This position will work closely with all QC Techs, FSQA Manager, Production and Warehouse Teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
· Lead and maintain the Warehouse HOLD program, including: tagging product, confirming quantities, updating inventory, etc.
· Evaluate condition of warehouses to ensure compliance to regulatory, internal and GMP guidelines
· Conduct inspection of product where necessary (inbounds, HOLD product, etc.)
· Conduct inspection of containers or trucks, when necessary
· Member of the Food Safety Plan Team, assisting in Hazard Analyses
· Expected to backfill any QC Tech job when absences deem necessary
· Supporting the FSQA Sr. Manager with Plant Assessments as needed
· Assist FSQA Sr. Manager on QA projects as needed
EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS
· High School Diploma or Equivalent. Bachelors Degree in Food Science (preferred)
· Previous Food Manufacturing, Warehousing or Quality experience
· Proficient Computer Skills with experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
· Excellent communication skills, high level of organization and attention to detail
· Ability to carry, twist, bend, and stoop in conjunction with frequent lifting up to 50 pounds
· Ability to work on your feet for up to 12 hours
· Ability to work in cold (40F) and warm environments
· May be required to rotate between shifts (1st, 2nd and Cleaning)
· Valid Drivers License and transportation to travel between facilities
SCHEDULE AND HOURS
First Shift: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Second Shift: 2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
**May be required to rotate between first, second, and sanitation shifts as needed to provide QA support.
**Weekends and additional hours may be required as needed to meet Production goals.
**Hours during Harvest are 12 hours / day, 7 days per week beginning mid-July and ending mid-September.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
