Essential Duties:
- Processes all new and used vehicles for registration in the state where they will be titled.
- Prepares tax and title documents.
- Submits legal transfer work to the DMV.
- Verifies collected funds and lienholder payments before processing title applications.
- Ensures accuracy and completeness of application information.
- Bills out dealer trades and prepares Certificates of Origin.
- Maintains a system for verifying out-of-state titles.
- Reports status of missing or problem titles to management.
- Signs over titles for wholesalers who have paid in full.
- Updates stock information for vehicles.
- Posts vehicle sales and purchases.
- Stays informed about title regulations and conducts training sessions.
- Cross-trains others to handle title clerk responsibilities.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent, or minimum three years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or one to two years of related experience.
