Hartmann Building Specialties is a family owned company that forges relationships with our customers as strong as steel from the beginning of their projects to the very end. We supply premium concrete products and construction materials to the industrial, commercial and residential markets throughout Texas and Southwest Louisiana.
The Outside Sales Professional is the lead driver of hunting new opportunities and expanding the customer base in order to exceed company objectives and grow market footprint. You will work in a fast paced environment centered on providing quality products with excellent customer service. You will seek out, build and maintain customer relationships by providing product knowledge, value and service. A very strong belief in our mission, growth and goals of the company are necessary to this position. Salary is related to experience and not indicative of Indeed listing.
Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue and qualify new customers through jobsite visits, office visits and cold calls while maintaining strong relationships with current business partners.
- Grow and develop knowledge regarding concrete practices, rebar fabrication, concrete products, anchor bolts, consumable products and concrete forming systems.
- Collaborate with leadership, Inside Sales and other team members to develop and implement new sales strategies, practices and products that can increase customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Seek out and develop new business opportunities in local and new market territories.
- Meet or exceed all sales goals, requirements and initiatives.
- Complete daily activity reports and follow up on all issued quotes in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills through programs and training.
- Gather and report to management market information regarding customers, competitors, pricing, products and forecast.
- Follow all company safety policies, rules and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for each job.
- Must be able to work overtime, either planned or unplanned as business requires.
- Operate in a team oriented and customer driven environment.
- Perform other tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Strong outgoing personality and the ability to effectively communicate with others.
- Previous sales experience in the residential, commercial or industrial construction fields a plus.
- Ability to forge and cultivate professional relationships.
- Possess project management traits and have the ability to effectively negotiate.
- Demonstrate strong self motivation skills and the ability to manage your own workload and time.
- Ability to occasionally work in industrial and/or manufacturing environments that may be subject to loud noises and extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and rapidly adapt to change.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Overnight travel may be required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
