Three Rivers Community Action is a non-profit human services agency working to increase homeownership among the rapidly diversifying population in southern Minnesota. The agency is seeking to add an energetic professional to the team who will be responsible for the implementation of the Achieve Homeownership Program which focuses on increasing homeownership rates among diverse households in the region. The initiative covers all of southeastern Minnesota, with in-depth programming in several focus communities including the cities of Rochester, Faribault, Northfield, Owatonna, Austin, and Albert Lea. Responsibilities include homebuyer education and counseling, community outreach, marketing, event coordination, public speaking, facilitation, direct assistance to diverse households, and data tracking. This full-time position (40 hours per week) is based in Rochester or Faribault, and has a great benefit package including generous Paid Time Off (PTO), health insurance (with an Agency-funded Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)), and a 403(b) Retirement Plan with a generous Agency match after 12 months of employment.
The starting pay range for this position is $20.88 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications:
- Bilingual skills required (spoken/written English plus fluency in an additional language such as Somali, Spanish or another language prevalent in Southeast Minnesota)

Ability to work with the public, articulate ideas and work with diverse cultural and economic backgrounds

Experienced in providing direct services to individuals or families one-to-one or in a group setting, with an emphasis on problem solving and empowerment

Self-motivated, reliable and confident individual with ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse team

Good communication skills, both verbal and written

Experienced in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point)

Extensive organizational skills and an ability to handle multiple tasks

Willingness to work flexible schedules outside of traditional business hours

Ability to travel within the region
Additional Attributes:

Bachelor’s degree and/or two years’ experience in lending, real estate, business, social work, sociology or related field

Certified as a Pre-purchase Homeownership Counselor through Neighborworks or Minnesota Homeownership Center (to be completed within 1 year of hire)

Certified as a Homebuyer Educator through Neighborworks or Minnesota Homeownership Center (to be completed within 1 year of hire)
