Summary:
This position involves providing direct individual and group-focused services/mental health treatment and understanding of the clinical nature of the unique stressors impacting this population. Services will be provided in community and clinical settings, including embedded at a community agency partner (OnTheMove) site that specializes in working with LGBTQ youth.
The position requires a master’s degree or clinical license in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology. The agency offers supervision for interns that are seeking clinical hours toward licensure. We provide individual supervision and group consultation on a weekly basis. This job is a great opportunity to enjoy clinical work in a collaborative setting, with a supportive team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provides direct mental health services to individuals and families, and group therapy sessions.
Provides services in a community, clinical, and partnering agency sites
· Ability to work from home on Wednesdays, with the exception of the first Wednesday morning of the month when the agency staff meeting is held.
· Provides complete and timely documentation to support services rendered.
· Completes required clinical documentation, including: assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
· Manage an active caseload of 60% client contact and 40% documentation/collateral contacts/coordination of care
· Attend regularly scheduled meetings with internal and community agency staff to coordinate care for clients.
· Provides consultation for internal and community staff regarding mental health issues and appropriate service determination.
· Participate in weekly supervision and/or clinical case consultation meetings.
· Participates in the collection of mental health information and student outcomes data to be used for monitoring the overall performance and effectiveness of services provided.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
· Knowledge of techniques and principles of individual, family and group therapy in addition to experience using evidenced based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and trauma informed care interventions.
· Knowledge of universal stressors pertaining to youth, and those specific to the LGBTQ+ population.
· Knowledge of community resources throughout Napa County.
· Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
· Maintain professional and ethical standards
· Comfortable with Microsoft Office programs and electronic communication methods, as well as web-based databases.
· Ability to work as part of a team within the agency and collaborate effectively with community partners.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Master’s program Trainee in counseling, social work, or psychology. Completion of Master’s degree preferred.
· Registered intern or license eligible by the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences as social worker, marriage family therapist, psychologist, or professional counselor preferred.
· Experience working with youth, particularly youth identifying within the LGBTQ+ community a plus.
· Ability to be flexible in a variety of work settings.
· Experience with Medi-Cal billing is a plus.
Compensation: $30-40 dependent upon clinical experience, language ability (bilingual Spanish), and licensure status
