The Quality Assurance Lab Technician is responsible for assuring company and customer quality standards are being met during the production process. The QA Technician assists and supports the production team by providing expertise to resolve quality related issues at each stage of the manufacturing process.
Compensation: $20/hr.
Schedule/ Shift: 2:00PM-10:30PM
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Adhere to industry and company quality and safety standards.
- Ensure implementation of well-defined standards, procedures and methods that reduce product variation to ensure a repeatable result within the manufacturing process.
- Assist with implementing QMS and GMP requirements.
- Performs end-of-end and in-process inspections.
- Identify and help resolve workflow and production issues.
- Ensure Line Clearances are completed for each change in product or procedure within the production lines.
- Documenting quality assurance activities and creating audit reports.
- Maintain standards for reliability and performance of production.
- Create quality measurements to track improvement in products.
- Proposing improvements to the production process.
- Assist with projects and R&D testing, as needed.
- Assist Quality Control Technicians, as needed
Preferred Skills:
- 2-3 years of Quality Assurance experience
- Prior experience in quality assurance/auditing role
- Exceptional verbal communication and technical writing skills with an ability to effectively interact with and convey information to people who possess varying levels of understanding on applicable topics
- Strong cross-departmental relationship building
- Microsoft Office, Smartsheet’s, TeamViewer
- Problem-solving skills
- Team player. Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
- Able to lift 20lbs of weight, perform repetitive work tasks with your hands, and work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Qualifications & Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of one-year technical related experience in manufacturing or quality control.
- In-depth understanding of industry standards and company policies.
- Sharp attention to detail.
- Great team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to stand and walk around for long periods of time.
Physical Demands: Frequently: Standing, Walking, Sitting, Handing, Finger movements, Reaching outward and above the shoulders. Occasionally: Sitting, Climbing, Squat/Kneel, Lift/Carry up to 20lbs, Push/Pull 20lbs.
