How you will make a difference:
The Crisis Mobile Response Team is a community-based mobile unit that assists individuals experiencing mental health emergencies. Services include mental health assessments, relapse prevention, intensive follow-up services, and on-site crisis intervention. Designed to provide de-escalation and relief, mobile crisis services address behavioral health or substance use-related crises wherever they occur—at home, work, school, or in the community. Delivered by a multidisciplinary team of trained behavioral health professionals, these services offer rapid response, individual assessment, and community-based stabilization. The primary goals are to de-escalate and stabilize crises, reduce immediate risks and harm, and avoid unnecessary emergency department visits, psychiatric hospitalizations, and law enforcement involvement.
Division/Program Overview:
The Valley Star Crisis Mobile Response Team operates from 7 PM to 7 AM, offering rapid mental health assessments and crisis interventions. Their services cater to all age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, who require immediate access to crisis mental health services. This program plays a vital role in providing immediate crisis intervention and stabilization to those in need.
