RUSSW, ranked #12 among MSW programs in the nation, is among the largest social work programs in the United States, offering BASW, MSW, DSW, and Ph.D. degrees to over 2,000 students across three campuses in Camden, Newark, and New Brunswick. RUSSW recently launched its 5-year Strategic Plan, Toward a More Just Future, with a focus on the following priority areas: Inclusion, Intersectionality, Diversity, Equity and Advancement (IIDEA); A Curriculum for the Future of Social Work; Supporting the 21st Century Student; Research for a Just Future; Innovative Community Engagement; Organization Foundations for Success. Our MSW program is delivered in several innovative ways, including traditional campus, intensive weekend, online and blended options.
Certificates in Aging and Health, Addiction Counselor Training, Child and Adolescent Health and Well-Being (ChAP), Latina/o/x Initiatives for Service , Training, and Assessment (LISTA), and a Certificate on Interpersonal Violence and Trauma (C-IVT) expand our curricular reach. RUSSW has several strong research and service units, including the Center on Research on Ending Violence, the Center for Prevention Science, the Center for Gambling Studies, the Center for Leadership and Management, Hub for Aging Collaboration, and the Institute for Families, a multi-million-dollar partnership with NJ’s Departments of Human Services and Children and Families.
