Role and Responsibilities
This position is a full-time position responsible for maintaining materials throughout the production shop. The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Use and conduct proper care of Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, gloves and steel toed boots)
- Review electrical standards as necessary when performing electrical work
- Run and repair new and existing gas/water/electrical lines
- Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical/hydraulic breakdowns via original equipment manufacturer manuals or calling service center
- Install new purchased equipment while working with original equipment manufacturer
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints
- Complete routine maintenance, preventative maintenance and safety checks
- Provide and use basic hand tools such as measuring tape, wrenches, screw drivers, wire cutters
- Learn and use other specialty equipment safely, such as magnetic drill, plasma cutter and torch
- Make sure your work area/department is secure, clean, and properly shut down at the end of each workday.
- Other job duties as assigned
- Run and use up to a 5 ton overhead crane as well as 8 ton forklift
- Participate in a respectful team atmosphere and teach others as appropriate
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- GED or equivalent industry experience
- Supply own hand tools
- Read and follow engineering drawings as well as installation manuals
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Good communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical system maintenance
- Drive a forklift safely
- Use overhead crane safely

The average years of experience for this position is 3 years and having a mechanical background

The employee is frequently required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee will operate primarily in a workshop setting. The employee must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. The employee may be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
*Mandatory overtime is sometimes required*

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
