We are a small company that provides services to individuals diagnosed with mental health and cognitive disabilities such as autism. We are currently looking for a BCBA who would service our St. Louis South County area.
This position requires one to be flexible in their scheduling of clients, but extremely organized in their planning. We take pride in providing high-quality treatment planning to individuals who are not the typical client. Many of our clients are complex and may exhibit behaviors that are not has been taught in your fieldwork and courses. Below outlines the general expectations of a WWBS BCBA:
The role of a licensed and credentialed BCBA is to maintain a caseload of clients diagnosed with Autism and related disabilities. This role is also considered an administrator at WWBS managing relationships with WWBS stakeholders (i.e., school personnel, caregivers, RBT’s etc.). The licensed and credentialed BCBA serves as a representative of WWBS as a whole and commits to the mission and values of WWBS. Services provided to clients will be done so according to the funding source and within the ethical guidelines of the BACB. This role encompasses the following responsibilities although this is not an all-inclusive list:
· Completes assessments in line with the BACB standards to drive treatment
· Creates and develops a treatment plan to address skill deficit areas and problem behavior
· Develops programming for staff to implement to address skill deficit areas and problem behavior
· Train staff on how to implement programming from the treatment plan
· Assess staff performance in regard to implementation of the treatment plan
· Address any training or retraining issues with staff in person immediately
· Use effective training strategies such as behavioral skills training to provide training on programming
· Document progress of client and staff on appropriate forms
· Develop materials to implement programming or delegate the development of program materials
· Maintain BCBA certification requirements outlined by the BACB
· Maintain Missouri State Behavior Analyst License
· Main professional learning continuing education as outlined by the BACB
· Communicate with guardians and staff regarding their absence within 24-hours of the appointment
· Work cooperatively with a multidisciplinary team by showing team skills of listening and providing feedback
· For team meetings, an agenda should be made, and notes taken to document the content of the meeting
· Provide ongoing supervision that corresponds with the current BACB task list for BCBA’s
· Maintain a system to document supervision and maintain records in a confidential manner
· Complete assessment within the authorized timelines as documented by each funding source
· Demonstrate ethical behavior that corresponds with the current BACB Professional Code of Conduct and Ethics criteria
· Maintain verbal/written confidentiality amongst other employees of Wright Way Behavior Services LLC
· Attend IEP and ISP meetings and provide data with team when requested
· Attend psychiatry appointments for clients and maintain a clear line of communication with doctors
· Have a release of information document on file for every professional or team member for the client before exchanging information whether verbal or written
· Destroy documents with client information by shredding the information and not simply discarding it
· Maintain a client file for at least 7 years
· Update treatment plans according to the cycle as outlined by the funding source
· Practice within your scope of knowledge and if other professional help is needed will seek out additional help
· Provide supervision to RBT’s and BCaBA’s as outlined by the BACB
· Modify or change programming to maximize client progress when no progress has been made within a month
· Work a minimum of 38 hour per week
· Submit funding source paperwork well in advance to avoid laps in services
· Have programming ready for the RBT to implement and a general schedule of what a session should be
· Implement Safety Care as designed and within the guidelines set forth by WWBS
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
