ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
SITA is looking for an ambitious, customer-focused individual to provide technical software documentation and training materials to both internal and external customers during an 12 month internship opportunity. He or she should be an outstanding verbal and written communicator, highly solutions-driven, enjoy learning new technologies, and excel working in a team environment.
This position is intended to assist the technical writing manager and other technical writers in day-to-day duties related to creating, maintaining, verifying and publishing product help documentation, troubleshooting guides, training materials as well as knowledge repository content.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Learn subject matter for a few applications specific to the Messaging team.

Meet with team members routinely to obtain technical concepts and information.

Write clear and concise technical documentation for product release notes, online help, quick start guides and troubleshooting guides in a timely fashion.

Write supporting documentation within a Knowledge Repository for both internal and external clients.

Prepare technical training materials including agendas, outlines, instructional materials, and training aids.

Continuously enhance technical documentation and training materials.

Ensure the quality and consistency of all content is accurate, up-to-date and easy to understand.

Submit timely and accurate updates, meet deadlines, ensure follow through and appraise supervisor of status.

Provide viable and innovative suggestions and solutions to problems related to software application usability.

Proactively and assertively address issues if they arise that require documentation efforts & adhere to approved policy and procedure; represent the organization in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS:
-
College diploma in writing, education, computer science or equivalent.
-
Applicable college coursework and/or up to 1 year of experience in a similar role acquired in a fast-paced multinational business environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
-
History of paying attention to detail, deductive reasoning, persistence, patience and creativity.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, etc.

Familiarity with RoboHelp and/or Flare software and WebHelp systems and/or willingness to learn on the job.
-
Understanding of Agile development processes and tracking software a benefit.

Ability to multi-task projects/tasks simultaneously & familiarity with the airline industry a plus.

Knowledge of standard office procedures and applicable SITA policy, procedure, rules and regulations.

Residency within the Atlanta-metro area required.
