As an occupational therapist, you will work closely with individuals of all ages, from children to older adults, who have a variety of conditions or disabilities. You will conduct assessments to identify the specific needs and goals of each individual and develop personalized treatment plans to address those needs. You will utilize a range of therapeutic techniques and interventions to improve clients' motor skills, coordination, sensory integration, and cognitive abilities. Additionally, you will provide education and guidance to clients and their families on how to manage their conditions and maximize their independence.
Specific responsibilities not limited to:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clients' goals and needs
- Use therapeutic techniques and interventions to improve clients' motor skills, coordination, and sensory integration
- Provide education and guidance to clients and their families on managing their conditions and promoting independence
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure the best possible outcomes for clients
- Monitor and document clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in occupational therapy and participate in professional development activities
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved curriculum Occupational Therapy
- Is able to practice unencumbered
- Is in good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
- Working knowledge of Medicare and other payer sources
- Full knowledge or resident rights
- BLS/CPR Certification
