Role Snapshot
Provide assistance to Employer Solutions department by assisting with quotes, setting up new business, processing renewals, changes, and other duties to assist underwriters in meeting and/or exceeding established processing timeframes for department.

- Can determine and request additional criteria when necessary.
- Develop recommendations regarding groups or applicant’s acceptability.
- Can aid department regarding questions of existing policies and guidelines.
- Can assist Underwriters and ASO staff as needed in various underwriting processes.
- Can maintain tracking systems for renewal groups and groups requesting a quote.
- Are proficient in Word and experience with OnBase or have the ability to learn.
- Can utilize word processing, spreadsheet, and database software to produce reports, documents, etc.
- Can assist with copying and mailing of correspondence generated by staff.
What will I gain from this role? The ability to:
- Comply with system security requirements in WPS Information Systems Policies, which include appropriate use of hardware and software and ensuring confidentiality of assigned password(s).
- Analyze and prepare weekly 50% and 100% Stop Loss reports.
- Utilize FACETS system to research information on a group or individuals within a group.
- Prepare and index all documents into OnBase.
- Prepare renewal packets including the correct addendums and SBC for mailing.
- Complete group set-up sheets and configuration sheets for new groups, renewal groups and changes.
- Interface with sales staff and other department to resolve rate and benefit issues.
- Complete request for changes to group policies through utilizing appropriate underwriting guidelines.
- Assign Facets group number using FAST table.
- Use website to check all new groups to make sure they are not on Specially Designated National List (SDN) [Watch Dog].
- Create rate calculators for renewals and quotes.
- Run renewal reports and distribute to assigned underwriter.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 or more years of experience within the health insurance field.
- Experience with MS Office products, OnBase, FACETS.
- Teamwork, multi-tasking, communication, organization, learning, high attention to detail.
Hourly Rate of Pay
The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and may fall outside of this range.
