Covelo Group is seeking Para Educators to join our Educational Services team for the '24-25 school year!
As a para educator, you will support teachers and school administrators by working with students requiring special instructional or behavioral assistance. Depending on the individual needs of each student, you will help them overcome physical, behavioral, or social limitations in order to be successful in the classroom and develop essential life skills.
Your students will vary in age from grades K-12, as determined by the school district. Your students’ challenges may range from mild to moderate to severe. The level of intervention they require will be determined on a case-by-case basis, according to the parameters outlined in their individual education plans (IEP) or 504 plans.
With this Para Educator position, you can expect:

Primary Para Educator responsibilities include:
- Helping students with classwork.
- Promoting the development of basic hygiene and self-care skills.
- Participate with students in prescribed PT, OT, or SLP services as needed.
Qualifications for this Para Educator position include:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience working in a school setting preferred, but not required.
- Paraprofessional certification preferred, but not required
- BLS certification.
