Summary:
The administrative assistant role supports client services to ensure an efficient, organized process that provides a positive client experience. Manages the underwriting process of insurance applications and service requests. Functions as the liaison between the home office, financial advisor, and clients. Tracks the status of client insurance underwriting process and service to completion.
This position will require travel between Saginaw and Lapeer offices.
Duties:
- Process, review and track new applications and service work for clients.
- Handles the input of case notes, processing correspondence, maintaining electronic client case files, and account forms and other insurance and investment related materials.
- Provides support for clients to ensure all questions and necessary actions are answered in a timely manner. This includes assisting clients to register for the client website and e-delivery.
- Acts as a liaison between client, advisor, district and home office.
Qualifications:
- College degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Experience in administrative support, preferably in the financial services and/or insurance industry
- Health and life licensed or gain licensing within 6 months of employment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications and data entry and information retrieval software
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills and ability to multitask, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work both independently and on a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Continue insurance education through schools, academies, licenses, registrations, and designations
- An ideal candidate for this position is someone who’s comfortable wearing multiple hats and can delegate accordingly. Must be a self-starter.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
