Position Summary:
In keeping with the Pacific Central Coast Health Center's philosophy, under the direction and supervision of the Operational and/or Medical Director, the medical assistant will assist licensed medical staff in the preparation of patients for delivery of services utilizing basic administrative clerical and technical skills. Medical Assistant will be required to float across clinics with staffing needs on a regular basis
Minimum
- One - three years’ experience working in a clinic setting or physician office
- *** Will accept and train new MA Graduates
- BLS required within 90 days of hire.
Preferred/ Desired
- Experience preferred in area of clinic specialty.
- Experience also preferred in working with low-income and Spanish-speaking persons.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Certified/Registered Medical Assistant Preferred

Ability to take instructions, comprehend and follow through effectively. Good verbal and written communications skills. Ability to read, write, comprehend and follow written and oral instructions in English Will have direct patient contact. Computer literate with the ability to type accurately at a moderate pace. Ability to ensure that diagnosis correlates with the procedure/exam requested
Bi-lingual, Spanish speaking preferred

Pay: $23.00 - $30.22 per hour
