- Bachelors Degree Required, Masters preferred
- Registered Nurse License in the state of New York
- Previous experience working with otolaryngology and ophthalmology
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of health care planning and management sufficient to lead a management team in the coordination of operations for a health care organization.

Knowledge of the policies and procedures of the Center sufficient to direct its operations and to provide effective patient care.
Knowledge of computer programs and applications.
Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgement, discretion and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives.
Ability to analyze situations accurately and take effective action.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, policy making bodies, third party payers, patients and the public.
Ability to exercise judgement and discretion in developing, applying, interpreting and coordinating policies and procedures, including quality issues.
Ability to prepare and present comprehensive reports.
Master degree in health care or business administration preferred.
- In conjunction with the governing board, the Administrator participates in charting and implementing the Center’s mission and makes necessary alterations in response to the changing needs of the community.

Recommends, develops and updates strategic short term and long-range plans to support the Center’s philosophy and goals.
Keeps the Board of Managers continually apprised of current trends, problems, and activities in the medical field to facilitate policy making.
Recommends the Center’s policy positions regarding administrative and legislative matters.
Participates in and coordinates the selection and training of new management team members.
Coordinates with the Board of Managers, medical staff and other Center personnel, the monitoring of activities to ensure fulfillment of the community’s needs for quality health care by assisting and coordinating the marketing plan and public relations programs.
Coordinates the short term and long-range financial development and management of the Center.
Coordinates the provision of health care services by the acquisition, utilization, retention and organization of resources (human, financial and physical) while developing improved management techniques and practices.
Coordinates, with members of the management team, compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and the rules of accrediting bodies. Continually monitors operations, programs, physical properties and initiates appropriate changes.
Coordinates, with members of the management team, the Center’s philosophy and objectives related to staffing and performance standards, policies and procedures, job classifications, and compliance with government regulations.
Represents the Center in its relationships with other health organizations, government agencies, and third-party payers.
- Coordinates, with other members of the management, resolution of any medical-administrative problems and keeps lines of communication open with staff to ensure high employee morale and a professional, healthful atmosphere.
