SUMMARY
Oversee and manage repairs and maintenance, in accordance with diagrams, operation manuals and manufacturer's specifications the facilities’ machinery, mechanical and electrical equipment. Supervise and provide direction to maintenance team members that are tasked to maintain, install, and repair of electrical apparatus and components of industrial machinery and equipment. Ensure team members are following safety procedures, electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specification, while using hand tools, power tools, electrical and electronic test equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Championand oversee the maintenance team to ensure all activities and functions are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
Observe mechanical devices during operation, listen to the machine sounds to determine any areas of concern.
Dismantles equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools.
Adjust, repair, or rebuild production machines and equipment.
Repair, replace or rework defective parts using hand tools and power tools.
Installs special functional and structural parts in devices using hand tools.
Performs preventive maintenance according to schedule; start-up devices to ensure optimum operating performance.
Set-up and operate a lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
Initiate purchase order for parts and machines.
Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment, following the electrical code and blueprints, using hand tools and a voltage tester.
Connects power supply, cables and wires between machines and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints using hand tools and test equipment.
Diagnose malfunctioning equipment such as HMI, transformers, motors and lighting fixtures, using test equipment and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
Test malfunctioning machinery using test equipment and discusses machine error with other maintenance workers to diagnose the problem.
Replace faulty electrical components of machines, such as relays, switches and motors and positions sensing devices.
Diagnose, repair, or replace faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards using electronic test equipment and hand tools.
Replace electric motor bearings and rewire motors.
Plan layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
Perform Layered Process Audits in accordance with audit schedule.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervise maintenance team members. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include training employees, planning, and directing work, employee performance and performance appraisals.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; Bachelor’s Degree is desirable. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance role. Previous supervisory experience leading and motivating a team in a fast-paced environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and understand written documents such as safety rules, department procedure and company policies. Good written oral and written communication skills with the ability to write routing reports and email correspondence as well as the ability to effectively communicate with other employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:
This individual must have good computer skills with experience in Micro Soft office including Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to create reports and communicate key information. Must be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and be able to react to shifting needs and priorities.
