As a VP of Technology, you’ll lead software engineering, network operations and product management for the company’s portfolio of products. You’ll execute the organization’s technology strategy and help drive innovative solutions for both our customers and stakeholders. You’ll be responsible for technical oversight, code quality, release governance, server and network infrastructure, product uptime, process improvement, risk mitigation, platform performance and financial planning for new products and/or new hires. You’ll be responsible for ensuring we deliver high-quality software solutions. You will be part of the Senior Leadership team and report to the CTO.

You will:
- Develop and oversee the technology roadmap for both products and systems, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
- Communicate technology strategies to executive leadership, stakeholders and employees
- Inspire the organization to strive for innovation, efficiency and continuous improvement
- Manage and grow the overall technology team (Code Development, QA/QC, Network Operations, Product and IT Support), ensuring high-standards for recruiting, hiring and performance
- Ensure efficient resource allocation and time management across the team, providing coaching and mentorship
- Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to maintain high standards for software engineering teams
- Further develop and manage data protection, quality assurance, disaster recovery, and system infrastructure processes for efficiency and reliability
- Create financial plans, budgets and manage costs for technology, staff or any additional resources needed
- Review, evaluate and approve the design of new IT infrastructure, communication systems, software and additional tools when necessary
- Train and mentor other department managers on technological implementations and expectations
You have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline is preferred
- 12+ years of substantial engineering experience with a strong background in a Linux environment
- 5+ years senior leadership experience managing team leads
- Proven ability to lead teams of 20 or more Engineers
- Fundamental knowledge of and prior experience with Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP (LAMP) environments
- Ability to think and act strategically, challenge conventional ways of working, collaborate creatively across departments and push forward an entrepreneurial mindset
- History of working with the Agile methodology of software engineering
- Exceptional leadership, coaching and team management skills that allow you to foster strong relationships with different personalities and support a diverse employee base
- Experience conducting technological analyses and research in order to balance risk with time-to-market objectives
