MISSION STATEMENT: Center Point, Inc.’s (CPINC) mission is to provide comprehensive social, educational, vocational, medical, psychological, housing, and rehabilitation services to combat social problems such as substance abuse, poverty, unemployment, and homelessness. CPINC offers rehabilitation and treatment services that interrupt the abusive cycles of psychological, social, and economic dislocation by providing critical training and support so that individuals and families can claim self-worth and dignity.
FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
CPINC employees are required to model the values of the agency as outlined in the Personnel Policies Manual. CPINC employees are required to maintain Center Point philosophy and standards of quality. It is the responsibility of every employee to adhere to all federal, state, and local authorities’ rules and regulations. Under the direction of the Vice President and/or Program Director, the Licensed Clinician (MFT, LCSW, LPCC, etc.) conducts assessments to determine appropriate DSM V diagnostic criteria and to develop initial treatment plans. Licensed clinicians provide clinical services to clients for specified therapeutic activities. Licensed clinicians are also responsible for the provision of primary family therapy services. Licensed clinicians perform case management activities to facilitate the client’s treatment as well as to facilitate the client’s community reintegration through assessing supportive services such as housing and continuing care services and provides ongoing therapeutic services in the aftercare phase.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Must have been licensed in California (through BBS) as a LMFT, LCSW or psychologist
- Knowledge of drug addiction/substance use and co-occurring disorders, abuse patterns, treatment methodologies, and Medication Assisted Treatment is required.
- Must have at least two (2) years of experience assessing, training or counseling adults, in a community-based program (inpatient and outpatient).
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED):
· Have a valid California Driver’s license and maintain satisfactory driving record.
· Strong use of the English language in verbal and written communication.
· Have a “can do” attitude and be a team player.

COMPUTER RELATED SKILLS:
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software programs.
· Working knowledge of integrated database applications and ability to use new software programs with basic training.
· Familiar with Electronic Health Records and ability to input information in such systems.
· Ability to operate a desktop or laptop computer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
CPINC conducts yearly job performance reviews to ascertain compliance with established policies and procedures. The employee must minimally maintain the following duties and responsibilities:
Primary Duties:
· Develop treatment strategies and interventions in accordance with DSM 5-TR criteria.
· Formulate and update treatment plans which address DSM 5-TR criteria.
· Administer client diagnostic testing and diagnostic criteria and incorporate results in treatment plans.
· Provide primary therapeutic services to clients and their families.
· Conduct individual, couples, family and group therapy sessions as required by treatment plans.
· Administer interventions commensurate with treatment plans and diagnostic criteria.
· Conduct CCBHC intake information and update necessary information per grant requirements.
· Provide crisis response and liaison with 23 Hour Mobile Crisis Team, emergency department, and/or other emergency response.
· Work with multi-disciplinary team and make clinical recommendations.
· Maintain accurate, detailed records in compliance with all regulatory and funding agencies.
· Participates in interdisciplinary team case conference and provides clinical and programmatic supervision as appropriate.
· Performs quality assurance reviews and maintains charts and documentation.
· Interact with clients, partner agencies, and the public in a culturally competent manner.
· Participates, develops, and facilitates relevant cross-training forums for and with the child welfare system, the courts, and other partner agencies.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be in good physical health and mental health, capable of meeting the demands of the program.
· Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
· Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
