Job Duties
As a tax manager, you will contribute to developing the strategy for each client’s tax preparation and know where to find the IRS code, including Regulations, Compliance, and Rules to support that return’s strategy. You also need to demonstrate project confidence and competence when dealing with clients directly and with government agencies on behalf of our clients.
The Right Candidate:
- Possesses active unrestricted credentials: CPA (Certified Public Accountant), Tax LLM or JD
- Has three or more years of public accounting and tax preparation experience with extensive knowledge of tax laws
- Has one or more years of recent experience preparing federal and state S-corp, C-corp, and partnership tax returns
- Is proficient with technology and has solid knowledge of computer operations, Microsoft Suite, and accounting software.
- Greets all potential and existing clients with a warm, friendly welcome
- Is skilled at communicating with people on the phone, in person, and by email
- Is a relationship-builder who is comfortable interacting with different types of personalities and all levels of authority
- Can work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Finds value in doing it right the first time (proofreading and double-checking details)
- Has an insatiable hunger to find ways for our clients to save more on taxes
