Summary
Primary work assignment is the operation of cash registers, accurately and efficiently. Accountable to proper cash handling, register receipts, change refund and deposits.
Primary responsibility is to provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times. Helps maintain records, prepares reports, evaluate current procedures and practices for accomplishing department objectives. Helps with the training and orientation of new employees.12 months experience in a service industry preferably involving food production and/or sales. Experience operating basic kitchen equipment required. Retail experience to include cash register operation preferred. Able to read, write and comprehend basic English and basic math. Interpersonal skills required. Has an understanding of cash controls.Ability to lift and move equipment, supplies and food items weighing 50 pounds or more.
Able to perform repetitive procedures and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to bend/stoop and squat. Occasionally, will twist/turn while lifting an object from a shelf, cart, counter or table. Able to push/pull carts with up to 50 pounds. Able to read catering and production sheets. Able to see adequately in order to operate equipment safely and effectively. Can recognize and respond to the smell of leaking gas or burning food.. Able to follow written and verbal direction. Manual dexterity for handling money, utensils and equipment.
