Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated orthodontic and general Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment, and provide excellent patient care.
Duties:
- Prepare patients for dental procedures by welcoming, comforting, and seating them
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
- Maintain accurate patient records
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a orthodontic/general Dental Assistant or willingness to learn
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
