Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Decatur, GA
Job Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer will work about 80% on the shop floor, looking for ways to improve the process and actively problem solving. This is a metal fabrication environment so experience in a similar setting, being hands on, understanding various metal fabrication cells, welding, assembly, paint, etc... would be ideal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement systems to optimize manufacturing production.
- Creating standard work documents, routers, and working with design on design for manufacturability projects.
- Perform cause and effect studies and apply corrective measures.
- Improve product consistency, standardize work procedures, and streamline processes.
- Implement Lean principles such as 5S, Visual Work, and Kanban.
- Develop and manage technical training programs for production staff.
- Ensure effective communication of new product introductions and changes.
- Coordinate technical information across departments for project execution.
- Manage capital equipment projects, identifying improvements, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering - Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical - not required, just preferred.
- 5+ years experience with MFG or industrial engineering – ideally on the shop floor in an metal fabrication environment and mechanical assembly environment.
- Understanding of factory metrics and Lean principles; Six Sigma experience is a plus.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
