Responsibilities:
- Hold overall accountability for all maintenance activities at the site level.
- Schedule maintenance and repairs for all plant facilities, equipment, and machinery.
- Maintain a working knowledge of best-in-class maintenance practices, including HSE, training, and all applicable building codes.
- Maintain records for all Preventative Maintenance activities, repairs, and purchases.
- Schedule work, assign resources, purchase materials, and maintain repair part inventories for all maintenance requirements in the plant.
- Investigate manufacturing issues in the plant and recommend corrective action, including consulting with production personnel, analyzing supporting data, suggesting corrective actions, and evaluating the effectiveness of the recommendations.
- Identify contractors, follow the RFQ process, and manage approved maintenance and capital projects using outside vendors.
- Oversee and lead the work of a group of employees. Also, plan and maintain work systems, procedures, and policies that enable and encourage the optimal performance of employees and other resources within the business unit.
- Perform other required tasks as assigned, with responsibilities varying based on plant needs.
We require you to have:
- Minimum of high school diploma
- At least 10 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- At least 5 years of experience as a leader in Maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- Strong technical knowledge
- Predictive maintenance and plant maintenance experience
- Understanding of basic safety regulations and procedures
- Organizational skills and be an analytical team builder
It’s helpful if you also have:
- Higher education in related field
- Previous experience with refractories
- Experience with computer based PM program
- Experience in a union environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office
Work Requirements
Position requires physical ability to climb, crawl, bend, and stand for long hours. Data analysis and problem solving are also required in the position.
