The Pharmacy Manager is responsible and accountable for Pharmacy clinical operations and the safe distribution of medication and must work collaboratively with the Center Medical Director, Nurse Manager, and Office Manager to provide safe, high-quality, effective, and efficient medical/pharmaceutical care. The pharmacy manager acts as a pharmaceutical resource to all clinical staff. The pharmacy manager will promote safety and oversee the role of staff pharmacists responsible for drug control, labeling, and providing quality information on prescription and OTC medications. Also, ensures all prescription drugs plus controlled substances are secure and safe in the pharmacy and maintaining 340B Compliance. The Pharmacy Manager receives general supervision from the Director of Pharmacy.
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
Preferred Education:
Doctor of Pharmacy/PharmD
Required Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
Must have an active pharmacy license in the state of practice with a license in good standing
MD Board of Pharmacy Licensure
Preferred Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:
MTM certification
Certified Immunizer Certification
Required Experience:
2 years experience in pharmacy management
