A top-rated food processing equipment company in the food industry is seeking a field service technician in the Las Vegas area!
You will be responsible for servicing food processing equipment. This position requires a broad understanding of installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment in grocery stores. You will drive to various locations in a company-supplied vehicle. You will manage your daily schedule and answer calls from customers and our dispatch center located in Signal Hill, California. Excellent customer service is a must, and good communication skills within the food industry are a plus.
Service Technician Responsibilities (This list is not inclusive of all duties assigned)

Job Functions
- Drive to customer locations to install, inspect, test, and repair electronic and electromechanical equipment.
- Install, calibrate, and configure equipment and train operators on usage.
- Test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment to major component level.
- Maintain safety practices while driving and at the job site.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with internal partners and point of contact at job sites.
- Answer calls from the dispatch center and promptly arrive at your daily assigned service call log.
- Write repair orders detailing repair and parts used.
- Manage the inventory of your company-owned service truck.
- Maintain company tools provided to you.
Requirements
- The applicant must have a valid Nevada Driver's license with a clean driving record and a minimum of 3 years of driving experience. The applicant must also meet vehicle insurance company requirements, which are subject to verification that the applicant meets the minimum age for insurance purposes.
- Must be willing to work occasional weekends and some holidays on call.
- Basic computer skills, good written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to handle and prioritize 4-8 calls per day, coordinate them efficiently and be flexible with route changes.
- Basic electronics, such as A/C and D/C, are a must. Understanding the use of multi-meters and basic testing devices.
- Work experience with hand tools.
- Read blueprints and repair manuals or parts catalogs.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Strong phone contact handling skills, active listening, and conflict resolution
- Basic math skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Pay rate is $20-24/hour (DOE)
