Business is good and we are expanding our pet sitting and dog walking staff! We are currently looking for new responsible employees that love animals and would like to earn money by walking dogs and visiting with other pets. Turn your passion for pets into a rewarding career. Serve love and care to pets from your mobile office! Flexible hours, weekend and holiday work required. Will serve Missouri City area, providing in-home pet care visits. Ability to work independently is necessary. Preference will be given to those with pet-care backgrounds. Reports to company president/owner.
Pet Sitter/Dog Walker:
Someone who would like to do pet sitting long term and grow with our company
Passion for animals and willingness to bring excitement to each visit
You must be located in our service area: 77459, 77545, 77479, 77477 (Missouri City, Stafford, Sugar Land area)
Must be at least 18 years of age
Transportation:
Have your own reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
Ability to navigate efficiently is expected
Read maps and/or GPS without difficulty
Able to drive in the dark and in inclement weather
Dog Walking:
Willingness to walk dogs outside in rain, heat, and cold
Must have skills sufficient to successfully walk dogs in public places
Must be able to restrain and control dogs up to 120 pounds on leads
Knowledge of effective dog-walking technique
Physically able to walk dogs of all sizes and to do pet sitting and dog walking visits back to back
Clean up dog waste
Able to walk up to 2 consecutive miles without discomfort or pain
In-Home Pet Sitting:
Visiting the client’s home during scheduled times and completing their pet care requests such as walking dogs, feeding animals, cleaning cages, supplying treats, stimulating pets through mental games and physical activity, administering medications, cleaning pet messes, scooping litter boxes, having TLC and playtime with the pets
Follow clients’ instructions and adhere to all company standards
Mail and newspaper pick up, trash removal, light/blind/curtain rotation and house plant care
Clean up dog, cat and other pet waste
Visually inspect pets in your care
Able to detect animal noises, such as distress whining
Reporting & Documenting:
Complete a log of feeding times, animal behavior and any other noteworthy happenings, such as failure to eat or go potty
Understand, speak, read, and write fluent English
High attention to detail
Client Relations:
Knowledge of animal care and needs
Respect client confidentiality
Have cell phone with ability to text and email and have internet access
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to empathize with pet owners is essential
Patience when dealing with pets
Attendance:
Able to arrive to jobs in a timely manner
Ability to pass a security clearance and background check
Dependable, responsible, and clear communicator
Failure to fulfill an assignment without arranging backup could result in injury to a pet and lost clientele
Holiday, weekend, evening work required
Pet First Aid:
Ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and confident manner
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and be capable of controlling/manipulating a dog up to 120 pounds
Walking, driving, and boarding animals into vehicles is required
Most of the work day for this position requires moderate strenuous physical activity, exposure to outdoor elements and concentration
The ability to assess situations accurately and respond quickly is needed
This work environment requires that an employee have no barriers or aversions to touching, smelling, or being in close proximity with animals, including sensitivity to pet dander, feathers, urine, feces, or any other animal feature

Pay: From $10.00 per hour
