Job Description
Seeking a friendly, hardworking, motivated individual for a part-time position (10-20 hours per week) with a minimum 6-8 years of experience in Real Estate Property Management bookkeeping working for a small, family-run business. NC residential real estate knowledge would be a bonus. Must be very detail oriented, trustworthy and comfortable working from our house office environment. Hourly wage negotiable. Some weekends and evening hours will be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains monthly bank accounts and reconciliations. Monthly (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet & Income Statement), and year-end financial statements reporting. Accounts receivable: Accounts payable: codes incoming bills, enters them for payment; generates checks and electronic payments. Communicate and resolve any billing discrepancies, outlying payments and/or vendor issues. Assistance with the annual budget process. Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues. Complete payroll using third party software Maintain files and records pertaining to financial information. Provide clerical and administration support as needed.
Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency relevant computer applications such as Microsoft Office and QuickBooks. Knowledgeable in monthly financial reporting, tax statements, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation. Good mathematical background and ability to sort, check, count and verify numbers. Experience in effectively communicating key data.
