Specific Responsibilities
- Inspects repairs, replaces, installs, and maintains all mechanical components, assemblies on turbines and associated packages.
- Works with quality control on quality of product and specific problems.
- Reads and operates mechanical tools, instruments and components on a turbine.
- Reads and interprets drawings and schematics.
- Assist the test area and shop in any mechanical and electrical assembly as needed.
- Maintain and obey safety standards.
- Work and communicate with Engineering, QC, Material Control and other crafts in production.
- Maintain hand tools and machinery required for production.
- Able to perform alignments and Parts Installation.
Key Responsibilities
- • Utilize precision equipment, such as calipers, verniers, and micrometers.
- • Interpret complex drawings, sketches and perform layout work.
- • Work and operate cutting rigs, welding machinery and measuring tools.
- • Produce work and document following established procedures.
- • Perform fitting of structural components using tools and required methods for the assembly of turbine packaging.
- • Perform work following all safety procedures and policies.
- • Maintain a clean orderly work area.
- • Perform other duties as necessary.
- • Enforce and practice company work instructions and any quality control system programs that are implemented by the company.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Specialized skill training/certification preferred
Experience
Generally, five or more years related experience in shop environment. Experience and training in welding and cutting tools and processes. Experience doing gas turbine mechanical work and gas turbine overhaul work preferred.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
