We are growing and have an immediate opening for a Tax Accountant / Senior Staff Accountant. Typical duties will include:
Preparation of Individual and Entity tax returns, including initial client contact and follow up with client, and planning and advisory consultation.
Reviewing and completing traditional “write-up” activities such as summarizing transactional data, reviewing general ledger accounts, performing account analysis and reconciliation (including bank statements and inter-company general ledger accounts), and preparing and adjusting journal entries
Reviewing and performing financial compilations and consolidations for multi-company entities
Reviewing financial performance data and preparing reports
Expert level bookkeeping activities for client AR & AP functions on an as needed basis
We prefer a minimum of 5 years prior experience in public accounting with solid tax preparation experience. A college degree in accounting is strongly preferred, however we will consider candidates with extensive experience in lieu of a degree.
Must be a self-motivated problem solver with the ability to perform and communicate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-client, deadline driven environment.
Strong attention to detail is necessary. Must be able to function independently as well as be a member of a team. Must be skilled in MS Excel. Preference for prior, recent QuickBooks experience. We use Lacerte for tax prep, but will train.

We like new hires to spend their first weeks training and acclimating to work in our office (100% in office). This can be followed by a combination of remote and in office work, mutually decided upon (likely 1-3 days in office & 2-4 days remote). This is not a 100% remote position and is not likely to become such at a later time.
Salary will be commensurate with experience. Generous commissions can be earned on any new work brought in.
