Vice President/General Manager- New York City
Title: Vice President/General Manager
Location: New York City
Reporting Manager: Eaglestone Corporate CEO
Position Scope:
Managerial responsibility of the business unit P&L from budget to forecasting covering the New York City region. A keen eye for driving growth through creating and championing the sales strategy. Responsible for building and optimizing the service and sales team to improve sales productivity and drive growth. A change manager that will ensure a smooth transition from being independently owned to part of a larger and more structured organization. Create a high-performance culture in concert with the CEO to provide exceptional rewards for success and holding leaders accountable. A strong focus on operations and process, standard operating procedures and overall management to optimize outcomes. Develop a winning strategy to grow the reoccurring service side of the business. Overall responsibility for establishing strong operations, driving revenue and producing growth.
Responsibilities:
A key member of the Eaglestone Senior Leadership team, the Vice President/General Manager’s responsibilities will include:
· Full P & L responsibility for the business unit to include Sales, Operations and support functions.
· Responsible for strong cash management to enhance liquidity position of the business unit.
· Create the business unit strategy and implement plans to assure growth and profitability.
· Hire, train and motivate a team that will cohesively build business.
· Champion the sales team, develop strategic avenues of growth and manage daily operational responsibilities.
· Co-develop annual business unit budget and be accountable to manage within the budget.
· Be accountable for the Work in Process (WIP) outcomes with hands-on project management working both with the project and operations managers.
· Develop relationships with vendors to assure sales goals are met and enough support is being provided to drive our growth.
· Attend industry events and “be the face” of the organization within region.
· Attend monthly Senior Leadership Meetings, conduct mid-month business reviews, attend quarterly Eaglestone Board meetings as required.
Professional Qualifications:
§ Experienced General Manager with 10+ years of experience who has run high growth P&L’s.
§ Degreed Engineer preferred and/or MBA in Business
§ Strong financial acumen
§ Strong track record of growing a business; direct sales, sales manager, and/or a General Manager.
§ Well-rounded professional that has experience in sales and operations with a focus on service and construction.
§ Knowledge of local market for strong and effective recruiting, sales, networking and strategy.
§ 10+ years of construction related experience.
§ Robust network of customers and personnel
