Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
- Prepare patients for dental work, including taking and recording medical histories and vital signs.
- Hand instruments and materials to the dentist and keep patients' mouths dry and clear by using suction or other devices.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment.
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure they are stocked with necessary supplies and materials.
- Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral healthcare.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays).
- Manage patient scheduling and appointment reminders.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Requirements:
- EDDA, Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (preferred) Certificate from an Accredited Vocational School
- Three plus years of Dental Assisting experience (five preferred)
- Proven experience as a dental assistant or relevant education/training
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to perform dental procedures with accuracy and efficiency
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Proficiency with dental software systems (Dentrix preferred)
- Certification or licensure as a dental assistant may be required in some states

Schedule:
- Day shift:
○ 7:30am-5:00pm Monday-Thursday
○ 7:30am-12:00pm Friday when required

High School Diploma
X-Ray Certification
Current BLS / CPR Certification
