Description:
The Senior Public Relations Specialist is an experienced relationship builder and strategic thinker who enjoys creating and executing successful community and member focused programs. The position takes on a key leadership role with the PR team in growth, strategy and execution of the Financial Literacy Program and the Work Place Partner Program.
Under the direction of the Vice President of Public Relations, this position will provide strategic planning and execution for the overall growth of all Public Relations community engagement and community service programs.

Develop, grow and maximize partnerships with education, business leaders and organizations;

Responsible for the successful management and facilitation of Financial Literacy Program, including webinars, reality fairs, speaking engagements, etc.

Responsible for the successful management and facilitation of Workplace Partners Program

Assist PR department with credit union events, including ribbon cuttings, grand openings, community engagement events, any and all other events asked to support

Assist with strategic planning for branch and community engagement

Spokesperson for TXTCU, including speaking engagements, attending community events

Responsible for content creation for the Financial Literacy Program and the Work Place Partner Program, including videos, photos and description of events

Collaborate with PR and Marketing team for maximum usage of all partnerships and events

Responsible for recording, tracking, and reporting webinar/in-person event attendance

Responsible for program budget and financial recap;

Understand and utilize branding matrix in order to recommend community opportunities that position TTCU with a competitive advantage

Presents a helpful and positive attitude, focusing on solutions and promoting a collaborative environment at all times

Complies with established regulations and law requirements

Requirements:
Required Experience
-
2+ years work experience in Public Relations
-
Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns and programs

Expert knowledge of Financial Literacy programs
Skills, Education and/or Certifications Required
-
Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience
-
Preferred strong product knowledge within the banking/financial services industry

Demonstrate the ability to make both one-on-one and group presentations

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
-
Strong work ethic and a professional appearance
-
Ability to work independently, with high intensity, as well as to function within a team

Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills

“Can Do” attitude, flexible, teamwork and a high degree of initiative

The ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds regularly

The ability to drive to different locations in the DFW area and/or travel when needed

The ability to work weekends, early mornings and evenings when needed

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to give presentations, lead meetings, and contribute to groups and gatherings of varied sizes

Ability to operate creatively, strategically, and consciously in a dynamic organization with many communication considerations rooted in culture and tradition
