The Director of Safety Sales Services is responsible for the overall management of the sales operations within the organization. Sales focus will be on emergency response training, safety-related consulting and equipment service. His/her main duties include designing plans to meet and exceed sales targets, developing and cultivating relationships with clients and evaluating costs to determine the best workplace safety-related service/product pricing when selling to customers.
The Director of Sales is responsible for informing the President of issues related to their assigned duties.

DUTIES:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand customer base.
- Selling our Silo Cleaning services as top priority, selling Training and Standby services
- Create and communicate sales goals and ensure executives are informed on the progress of those goals.
- Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.
- Create and execute marketing material for external communications of workplace safety-related products and services.
- Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes.
- Consistently stay apprised of all OSHA regulations and laws.
- Work with customers to develop safety training in accordance with applicable regulations to best fit the needs of their employees.
- Develop and effectively manage the sales department budget.
- Report on forces that shift strategic directions of accounts and budgets.
- Conduct research on the competition and supply and demand costs.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to finish.
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of services and products.
- Be able to operate a computer to perform daily work activities, with an understanding of basic computer software (MS Word, MS Excel) and the ability to grasp new software within reasonable time frames.
- Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to climb ladders, tolerate confined spaces and heights, bend, stoop, stretch, lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness and ability to wear safety equipment such as, but not limited to, respirators, safety shoes, safety glasses, and hard hats.
- Have vision correctable to 20/20 for inspection activities.
- Ability to pass a company required physical examination.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical
- Availability to work overtime hours.
- Availability to travel approximately 80-100% of the time with potentially including overnight stays.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s Degree from a college or technical school is preferred, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
A minimum of 7-10 years of proven sales experience in an executive-level position such as a Sales Manager, Marketing Director or similar role is preferred, or a combination of education and experience is required.
