IT Specialist
Evergreen Market is seeking an IT Specialist to help us grow our dynamic cannabis retail business.

Role Description:
Connections and collaborations are at the heart of our business, starting with how we work with our customers and each other. As Evergreen Market's IT Specialist, you will work with our internal and external business partners in developing, testing, and executing our POS, back office, managed network plans, software, and other such initiatives. You will have the opportunity to interact with end-users, store operations, vendors, and key business partners along with team leadership to implement and support retail site system solutions that sustain and innovate retail services to increase customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide timely and effective technical support to small corporate office and multiple retail locations, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.

Answer, track, and resolve help desk incidents and requests.

Perform systems admin duties such as overseeing the setup, repair, and maintenance of workstations and network equipment, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability.

Oversee the company's network infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network devices.

Implement and monitor security measures to protect the company's data and IT systems from cyber threats and unauthorized access.

Build and maintain internal documentation and technical how-to's.

Develop and maintain data backup and disaster recovery plans to prevent data loss and ensure business continuity.

Assist in the creation and enforcement of IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for procurement, maintenance, and support of IT equipment and services.

Conduct training sessions for staff to enhance their technology knowledge and skills and promote best practices in using company systems and software.

Lead and participate in IT projects aimed at improving the company's technological capabilities and efficiency.

Performs other tasks and duties as needed.
Skills/Experience Required:
-
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, related field, or equivalent experience.

Proven experience in a similar IT role, preferably within the retail or cannabis industry.

Strong network and system administration knowledge in a primarily Microsoft environment.

Expertise with Windows laptops, iPad iOS, Office365/Teams and SharePoint.

Experience with cybersecurity best practices and data protection measures.

Familiarity with retail management software and point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to visit stores to provide on-site support.

Use screened devices for extended periods of time.

Lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs.

Twist, bend, squat, reach, and climb a ladder.

Willing to take after-hours and weekend emergency calls.

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Skills/Experience Preferred:

Knowledge of cannabis industry regulations and compliance requirements.

Experience using and supporting NVR security systems, remote apple device MDM.

Experience with computer networks, LAN/WAN networking issues, wireless performance issues, etc.

Knowledge of WordPress, POSaBIT, and IDVisor.
