The opportunity:
Our product marketing team has an opening for a creative, curious, and motivated Associate Director, Product Marketing, Voluntary Benefits/Supplemental Health who will promote the value of our accident, critical illness, cancer, and hospital indemnity products.
How you will contribute:
Strategize and deliver integrated marketing programs and campaigns that position Sun Life Voluntary as the go-to offering for prospective and existing brokers and Clients.
Execute from ideation and socialization stages through delivery. This includes writing content and partnering with our design, social, and compliance peers.
Engage with lead generation efforts via digital marketing channels, including email, social, web.
Collaborate with distribution, product, marketing, and claims leaders to ensure engaging, targeted, accurate content and positioning across messaging vehicles.
Position product benefits and the Client/claimant experience effectively, understanding that both present intriguing messages to the market.
Influence optimal stakeholder experience through education and outreach. This includes employee benefits education to support successful enrollments.
Maintain and develop key marketing tools/assets to ensure a current inventory for distribution.
Develop and track objective and key results (OKRs).
Report directly to Group Benefits Product Marketing Director to maintain a line of sight to Group Benefits marketing initiatives and Sun Life value story, while regularly partnering with AVP, Voluntary Benefits; AVP, Voluntary Solutions (Distribution); Director of Supplemental Health Claims Strategy, among others to deeply understand Voluntary Benefits overarching strategy and inform Voluntary Benefits marketing messaging.
What you will bring with you:
Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
5-7 years of experience in benefits marketing, preferably with voluntary/supplemental or health products.
Bachelors’ degree preferred or an additional 5 years’ experience.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with several ongoing deliverables.
Familiarity with program tools like Wrike is a plus.
Excellent content development, digital marketing, and analytics skills.
Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
Able to think strategically, prioritize effectively, pay attention to detail, confidently share ideas, problem solve, ask questions.
Able to partner effectively with stakeholders and lead by influence to adopt messaging, tools, and timelines.
A willingness to learn and discuss product and industry trends.
Able to lead and manage multiple projects and timelines, have strong organization and project management skills.
Able to adapt to changing circumstances and shifting priorities in our fast-paced environment.
Solid proficiency using MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe PDF.
CRM experience is a plus.

Central region: $120,400 - $180,600 annually
Northern region: $128,700 - $193,100 annually
If you are a Colorado resident, the salary range for this position is $109,000 - $163,500 annually.
If you are a New York resident, the salary range for this position is $128,700 - $193,100 annually.
If you are Washington resident, the salary range for this position is $120,400 - $180,600 annually.
