Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients in hospice settings
- Assess patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs
- Create and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and evaluate patients' condition and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic patient care
- Educate patients and their families about the hospice philosophy and end-of-life care options
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care for patients
Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology knowledge
- Strong patient care skills, including assessment, monitoring, and pain management
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Experience with medical records management and documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to provide emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
