Job Summary:
We are seeking an attentive and energetic Busser to join our restaurant team. The Busser plays a vital role in creating a positive dining experience for our guests by maintaining cleanliness in the dining areas and supporting the overall efficiency of restaurant operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities:
- Table Preparation and Reset:
- Set and reset tables according to established standards and seating plans.
- Ensure tables are properly arranged with clean utensils, napkins, and condiments.
- Clearing and Cleaning:
- Clear and clean tables promptly after guests finish their meals.
- Dispose of waste and used items in designated receptacles.
- Wipe down and sanitize tables, chairs, and surrounding areas.
- Assistance to Servers:
- Assist servers by refilling water glasses, delivering bread baskets, and providing any additional support to enhance guest experience.
- Communicate effectively with servers to coordinate table turnover.
- Communication:
- Collaborate with kitchen and waitstaff to maintain smooth communication and flow of service.
- Report any guest feedback or concerns to the appropriate staff.
- Restroom Maintenance:
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of restrooms, ensuring they are well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Support for Special Events:
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of tables and chairs for special events or private parties.
- Collaborate with the events team to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and laws including health and safety standards.
Required Skills / Abilities / Competencies:
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, guests, and hourly staff.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Promote the culture, values, and mission of Restaurant K.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 1+ years entry-level role in a casual dining restaurant, is a plus but not required.
- At least 16 years of age.
- Ability to acquire a valid Texas Food Handler Card within 30 days of hiring.
- To inspire people to embrace different cultures of the world.
Work Environment:
- This job entails frequent exposure to high temperatures and extreme cold. There is frequent contact/immersion of hands in water and sanitation solutions; and contact with produce items, dairy products, and frequent allergen-related items such as nuts, citrus, peanut butter, cinnamon, etc.
- Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
- May be requested to work weekends for special events.
- Must be able to work safely in a noisy area.
Physical Requirements:
- Be able to reach, bend, and frequently lift 30 pounds.
- Must have the stamina to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Must be able to stand for periods of up to eight (8) hours.
- Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds at a time. Required to use assistance when available i.e. hand trucks, ramps, or another team member.
